🌿 How to Make Sea Moss Gel at Home

Making your own sea moss gel is simple and only requires a few steps. Follow the instructions below to prepare fresh gel for your daily routine.

🥣 What You’ll Need

  • 1 handful of dried wildcrafted sea moss

  • Spring water

  • A bowl

  • A blender

  • A glass jar with lid

🧼 Step 1: Rinse Thoroughly

Rinse the dried sea moss under cool running water.
Gently remove any natural ocean debris or excess salt.

Repeat until water runs clear.

💧 Step 2: Soak (12–24 Hours)

Place rinsed sea moss in a bowl.
Cover completely with spring water.

Let soak for 12–24 hours at room temperature.

The sea moss will:

  • Expand

  • Soften

  • Become slightly translucent

🌀 Step 3: Blend

After soaking:

  1. Drain excess water.

  2. Add sea moss to blender.

  3. Add fresh spring water (just enough to blend smoothly).

Blend until smooth and creamy.

Add more water for thinner gel.
Use less water for thicker gel.

🧊 Step 4: Refrigerate

Pour blended gel into a glass jar.
Store in the refrigerator.

The gel will thicken naturally as it chills.
